Meet our Designer at your place or ours. This is our opportunity to get to know each other. Here you can share your ideas, dreams, goals, and budget. Our job is mostly to listen so that you can freely explain what you want and ask us questions.

On-Site Measurements

We will visit your location to get as much detail as possible, take detailed measurements, and produce a hand sketch. Back at VHI, the Designer will create a detailed floor plan, 3D drawings, and work out a rough estimate of time, work, and materials.

Next, we will invite you to our office to explain the rough estimate for your approval. Together, we will discuss the details such as the cabinet materials, colors, countertops, etc. which you can select from displays or catalogs.

As the owner of an 1892 home in a Preservation District, I have made VHI my go-to shop for cabinets, kitchens, and bathrooms. Initially, they restored a kitchen and full bath and built a powder room under an unused space beneath the stairs. Not an easy job in such an old house, but they used imagination and care, planning and installing cabinets and appliances that were modern for easy use, but never violated the spirit of the old house, nor the requirements of the Preservation District. I met Bret Borriello in The Tile Shop by accident. A brief conversation resulted in a home visit and assistance that proved to be invaluable with respect to the design of my kitchen cabinets and overall kitchen renovation. I was invited to tour his factory and was impressed with what was seen and offered, as well as the people I met. Additionally, Bret handled the countertop contractor interface, and referred me to an excellent installer for the finishing touches, and to get all the work completed.
My kitchen is gorgeous and I'm proud to show it off. This was money well spent, and I will employ VHI Cabinets for my next project. I like working with people who are highly skilled, serious about the job, and care about their work product.

We did a complete gut of the kitchen down to the studs. Nick (VHI Designer) came onsite and took measurements. What resulted was an excellent remodel of the small kitchen to maximize space and flow. The cabinets, trim, and all other materials are superior quality. Friends and family are awestruck at the transformation.
